Janitor (Part-time)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct commercial cleaning activities in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities through regular cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks to support overall building upkeep.
• Handle residential painting projects when required, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move items as needed during cleaning tasks.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned duties within designated timeframes.
