Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team and gain hands-on experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers to assist with various projects on commercial and residential construction sites, remodeling jobs, and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to plumbing and mechanical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Support the assembly of piping systems, pipe fitting, and pipe threading tasks
- Help with remodeling projects by performing basic carpentry and construction site tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing components and assist with troubleshooting issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites
- Follow safety protocols at all times and report hazards or concerns promptly
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, HVAC systems, and mechanical knowledge
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction processes and site safety procedures
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, pipe threading, and pipe fitting techniques
- Experience or knowledge of welding and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing or HVAC systems
- Mechanical aptitude with a focus on troubleshooting mechanical issues in plumbing or related fields
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for installations and repairs
- Experience in construction site work or remodeling projects is a plus
- Maintenance Person experience or carpentry skills beneficial for supporting various project tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
