Currently casting:

LAURE by Mya Ison
August 18 at 7:00 PM with rehearsal from 12-5:30p.
Seeking: ELIE, white man, early 20s. Born into the French aristocracy, strikingly beautiful, romantic, artistic, and intensely observant. A painter whose relationship with Laure challenges the way he understands love, art, and the people he claims to see.

3 SNEAKERZ ON THA’ LINE by Jaden Hatim Bridges
September 1 at 7:00 PM with rehearsal from 12-5:30p.
Seeking:

SHENITA, Black woman, 20s. Lucretia’s homegirl. Bold, outspoken, funny, resourceful, and a hustler to a T. She loves hard, dreams big, and is constantly finding a way forward.

MISS DEE, Black woman, 40s–60s. Owner of the apartment complex and resident “Ole Lady” of the neighborhood. Tough, sharp, commanding, funny, and deeply unsentimental. She doesn’t play because life hasn’t played with her.

3 SNEAKERZ ON THA’ LINE contains Florida-specific AAVE with intentional rhythm, punctuation, and colloquial language. Actors should approach the language with specificity and ease rather than heightening it or playing toward stereotype.

A third WORKLIGHTS reading, LOUD: A GHETTO BLACK MUSICAL by Valentina Ma’Kaylah Johnson, will take place September 15. No roles from LOUD are being cast through this notice.

Submission Process:
Please submit a headshot, résumé, availability, and any optional existing acting reel, self-tape, or performance sample through the submission form. No new self-tape is required for the initial submission. Selected actors may be contacted for a brief virtual read or asked to submit a short provided side.
