Job Summary
Are you enthusiastic, dependable, and great with kids? We are looking for caring Camp Counselors to support our 2026 Summer Camp at the Workhouse Arts Center. As a Camp Counselor, you will assist instructors, support campers throughout the day, and help create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for young artists

Responsibilities
- Assist camp instructors with daily activities and lesson facilitation
- Supervise and support campers ages 10 to 16 throughout the program day
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive camp environment
- Manage transitions between activities and ensure camper well-being
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and general camp operations
- Report any safety concerns or behavioral issues to the Lead Counselor or Instructor promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or teens in a camp, school, or youth program setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patient, reliable, and able to maintain an active pace throughout the program day
- Interest in the arts a plus
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, as required for all positions working with minors
- This role requires the ability to stand and move actively throughout the program day, and occasionally lift or carry materials up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
