Title: Freelance Associate Designer, Women's Denim

Industry: Apparel

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 6 months (potential temp to perm)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with supervisor to design the respective category based on design direction given
  • Learn and understand raw materials and trims related to a specific classification
  • Perform daily follow-up using email and PLM
  • Interact with merchants and vendors to develop working partnerships
  • Fully own the Tech Pack process from initial start to working with tech on POMs and to the finalized updates to Bulk Production

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
  • 2-4 years of related experience in Apparel; Denim experience preferred
  • Experience with PLM or similar program
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Excel
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking.

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by WorkGenius.
