Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a busy outpatient practice in the Cooperstown, NY area. This is a locum tenens position for a provider to work 3 full days per week, with the potential to continue until a permanent hire is made.
Start Date: 4/6/2026
End Date: Ongoing / until full-time hire
Schedule: 3 days per week, full time
Setting: Outpatient only
Compensation:

- Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage provided
Team Composition:
- 1 MD to 1 NP onsite
- Support staff includes nursing and administrative personnel
Patient Details:
- Volume: 12–15 patients/day (varies by patient mix)
- Case Mix: ~80% Oncology / ~20% Hematology
- Hematology Scope: Includes benign and malignant cases
Procedures/Skills:
- Bone marrow procedures are a plus (most handled by IR)
Credentialing & Requirements:
- Active NY medical license required
- Board Certification required
- Immunization record required (flu vaccine or declination)
- Negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year of start
- No temporary privileges; MSO processing timeframe ~120 days (urgent need flagged with credentialing team)
