We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Syracuse, NY. This position requires experience in both acute care and outpatient settings, with occasional weekend coverage. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Must work one weekend per month) COMPETITIVE PAY!!
The Occupational Therapist will:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Active New York State licensure or eligibility
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Required
Experience in acute care and outpatient settings required
Trauma And ICU Experience Preferred
Ability to work one weekend per month
Must pass pre-employment health clearance
The Occupational Therapist will:
- Administer occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician
- Evaluate patients and establish individualized treatment goals in collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and related reports
- Participate in clinics, rounds, and conferences, presenting patient progress and updates
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure adequate supplies
- Participate in staff education and training programs as needed
