Workfit Staffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to be responsible for providing direct patient care, usually under the direction of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with established plans. The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the care delivery team. The Licensed Practical Nurse communicates the needs of the patient and the team; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, takes direction from the RN and delegates appropriately to the other members of the team.
The Complex Care Medical-Surgical Unit is a 39-bed acute medical telemetry unit caring for a wide range of patients, including those with medical-surgical needs, orthopedic overflow, and ED holds. The unit supports both medically complex patients and those preparing for safe discharge. This unit is a great fit for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings that require strong clinical judgment and collaboration.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Pay Rate: $30.00 to $32.00 an hour.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Patient Care & Service - Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members.
- Medication Administration & Reporting - Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols.
- Documentation - Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process.
- Preparation - Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent required.
- Current licensure in State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills highly desired.
- At least 6 months LPN experience preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
