Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Technician - II/III to join our educational team. This vital role involves supporting classroom instruction, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and assisting with the development of curriculum tailored to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities and autism, and demonstrate expertise in early childhood education and classroom management. Duties
- Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development.
- Support students with significant social, emotional and behavioral issues.
- Support students with by implementing accommodations and modifications outlined in their IEPs.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with students
- Provide direct support to children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Assist in documenting student performance and maintaining accurate records related to developmental milestones and educational goals.
- Support childhood development initiatives by promoting literacy education, numeracy skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Contribute to curriculum development efforts aimed at enhancing inclusive education practices for children.
Requirements
- Be a certified BHP or be willing to become BHP-certified.
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or private school environments.
- Knowledge of special education practices, including familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Experience working with children who exhibit significant social, emotional and behavioral issues is preferable.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques suitable for diverse learners.
- College coursework focused on human services is preferable.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for children with behavioral challenges.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping. - School year runs Mid-August to Mid-June.

Pay Scale: Starting at $20.31/hr for Ed Tech II & $22.18/hr for Ed Tech III.
This is a TEMP to HIRE position for the right candidates. Benefits increase upon direct hire.
