The Education Technician I, II, III (also called a Behavioral Health Professional) is responsible for supporting classroom teachers to ensure the classroom runs efficiently and effectively. The Ed Tech is responsible for working 1:1 or 1:2 with students diagnosed with special needs. Ed Techs (BHP) support the classroom to teacher to implement interventions and curriculum in accordance with the students individual treatment plan goals.
Ed Tech / Deep Cleaner Role
- $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on Education Technician Level
- Full-time Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
- The deep cleaner will work 9am-3pm in the classroom and 3pm-5pm deep cleaning
Essential Functions of the Role:
- The Ed Tech will work closely with a classroom teacher to implement curriculum and interventions established by the treatment team.
- The Ed Tech will work one-on-one with students in a classroom setting.
- Ed Tech will be assigned specific duties to support the classroom and the classroom teacher.
- Ed Tech’s work 1:1 with children implementing instruction, taking accurate data, and supporting the classroom teacher with various duties such as preparation, coordination, and implementation of interventions.
- Ed Tech’s support therapists in their classrooms and wrap around interventions as suggested by therapist and classroom teacher.
- Daily documentation and tracking are important elements of the job.
- The deep cleaner will perform daily classroom cleanings to ensure a clean and professional, clean, and organized work environment. (i.e. wipe down of classroom tables and chairs, vacuum and wash classroom rugs, dusting ledges in all rooms, clean baseboards, clean mats, therapy balls, and ball pits).
- The deep cleaner will support the operations specialist with projects and cleaning responsibilities.
Environmental Factors
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat
- Most of the work is done at the school, indoors and outdoors

- Reach with hands and arms
- Sit and stand; walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch, bend
- Regularly lift and/or move objects or equipment (up to 50 lbs.) including bending, stooping, stretching, squatting, pushing and pulling, and sitting and walking.
- Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Qualifications:
- Experience is preferred but Watch Me Shine is willing to train the right applicant.
- Candidates must pass an extensive criminal background check.
