Our team of speech-language pathologists and literacy interventionists delivers personalized, engaging therapy tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.

Wordplay Speech Therapy is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our clinic-based, private-pay team. This role is ideal for a clinician who is fun, personable, resourceful, and passionate, and who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful relationships with families.
We are intentionally growing and currently have a waitlist, with anticipated continued demand. Hours are flexible and may increase over time based on availability and interest.
- No SOAP notes. Minimal paperwork. Our primary focus is on therapy, not documentation.
- Short, session-based video updates to support home carryover, family engagement, and visual progress tracking
- Private-pay setting that prioritizes quality over productivity quotas
- Consistent clients and small caseloads for strong rapport and measurable progress
- High clinical autonomy and trust in your professional judgment

- Employment Type: Part-time, W-2 hourly employee
- Setting: Clinic-based
- Schedule: Flexible, with hours available now and opportunity to grow
- $70/hour for all direct, billable client sessions
- Includes sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice

- Create engaging, individualized sessions aligned with client goals
- Use streamlined, clinically meaningful documentation appropriate for a private-pay clinic
- Share brief, parent-facing video updates to highlight progress and support carryover
- Build positive, trusting relationships with families
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California SLP license
- ASHA CCC-SLP
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) not accepted at this time
- Experience with pediatric speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Positive, flexible, professional demeanor
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
- Bilingual skills a plus, but not required
