What are the responsibilities and job description for the Float Teacher position at Word of Life Preschool and Childcare South?
The responsibilities for a child care float position;
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
- Flexible mindset to have an inconsistent schedule and job duties.
- Sit with children during mealtimes and snacks for children.
- Replace room teacher on their scheduled day off or when absent.
- Help children keep good hygiene by washing hand and keeping environment sanitary.
- Change the diapers of infants and toddlers when needed and work with potty training.
- Follow classroom schedules and routines to ensure consistency.
- Watch for signs of emotional or developmental concerns with children and communicate with director and lead teacher.
I am looking for a teacher to float from one classroom to the next, working with ages 2 weeks to school age children. This position will fill in for the teachers on their day off or when a teacher calls in sick. We are a faith based child care center and want employees who will teach and share the love of God.
The staff will also be responsible with cleaning duties in the classrooms and around the building which will be discussed during the hiring process. The skill required are; FLEXIBILITY, multitasking, communication with children, parents and staff, complex problem solving, time management, active learning, active listening and redirecting, team building and physical movement abilities. I need someone who is very responsible and a fast pace worker.
Job Type: The position can be anywhere between 30-45 hours per week.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
