Producer & Studio Manager

wool&
Portland, OR Contractor
POSTED ON 7/26/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 1/19/2027

About wool&

We design clothing for the woman who doesn't want to sacrifice style to wear her favorite natural material—merino wool.

Job Description

You have an obsessive eye for organization and love being the person who makes a photoshoot run like clockwork—from building the call sheet to tracking down the last sample before a shoot. You thrive juggling logistics, people, and product all at once, and take as much pride in a well-run set as a well-organized prop closet.

You'll join our wool& creative team, working closely with our Art Director, freelance stylists, and contract photographers to plan and produce every studio and lifestyle shoot. You'll also partner with our warehouse team on sample and product logistics

Candidates will need to be local to Portland, OR. This role is based in our office / photo studio

Responsibilities

Photoshoot prep & production

  • Own logistics, scheduling, and call sheets for studio and lifestyle shoots
  • Serve as day-of producer on set, keeping shoots on schedule and running smoothly

Shot planning & image strategy

  • Organize the monthly PDP shoot list and build the shot deck with the Art Director and freelance stylists
  • Manage the image priorities list, ensuring we've shot what's needed to support launches

Sample management

  • Order, track, and check in photo samples; communicate status across the team
  • Keep sample organization systems current

Prop & product inventory

  • Manage the photoshoot prop inventory and keep the online prop database up to date
  • Manage photo studio product inventory: keep it organized and tidy, return older product to the warehouse, and ensure current styles are on hand in a range of sizes

Lifestyle shoot support

  • Organize and pack products for lifestyle photoshoots, keeping looks organized

Design & marketing support

  • Act as design pinch hitter on email builds as needed
  • Schedule email campaigns and check links before send

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in photo production, studio management, or a related operations role — apparel or eCommerce experience preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; comfortable juggling multiple shoots, samples, and deadlines at once
  • Experience building call sheets and producing photoshoots (studio and/or on-location)
  • Strong communicator who can coordinate across Art Direction, stylists, photographers, and the warehouse team
  • Basic design skills (Photoshop, Canva, or similar) — a plus for email pinch-hitting
  • Experience working with tools such as Shopify, Dropbox, Google Sheets, Slack, Notion, Asana
  • A genuine interest in fashion and natural materials — bonus if you already know why merino wool is the best fabric on earth
  • Ability to lift and move product/prop boxes and stand for shoot days
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; role requires travel to scout locations and transport product/talent to shoots.

Growth Opportunities:

  • We all wear many hats, and roles shift as our company grows. We like to say that you're in charge of your role. If something looks interesting to you, follow that itch, learn from the team, and create value.

Our Values

  • Positive, transparent, inclusive.
  • Question assumptions. Experiment often. Fail fast and cheap. Learn and improve.
  • Well done is better than well said.

Perks

  • Competitive salary
  • Healthcare
  • 401k
  • 401k Match
  • Quarterly stipend and employee discount for wool&/Wool&Prince products
  • Fun start-up environment
  • Team lunches every other week
  • Hybrid workplace (currently 3 days in office)
