Job Description: Pet Groomer

Are you passionate about working with animals? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their appearance. The Pet Groomer position is a commissioned based position.

Responsibilities:

· Professionally perform grooming and styling services on animals as requested by pet parents while ensuring the safety and well-being of each animal

· Perform grooming services including, but not limited to bathing, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and gland expressions

· Identify potential health issues in pets such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and inform owners of these observations

· Accommodate special requests that pet parents may have

· Maintain a clean and healthy work environment

· Build relationships with parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy

· Handle customer complaints as needed

· Utilize the reservation system to check dogs in/out, pull up necessary information, and read or edit grooming notes

· Work cohesively with the team in a respectful and professional manner

· Ensure efficient communication with customers by working closely with the Front Desk Coordinators

· Work with the store manager to maintain grooming inventory that fits the budget

· Follow pricing guidelines and provide input as needed

Qualifications:

· Ability to groom based on general breed standards and customer requests

· Ability to complete full grooms on 5 dogs/day

· Must have at least one year of current professional grooming experience

· Must have good temperament with animals

· Must present 2-3 client references

· Must provide own grooming tools

· Photos of grooming work required

· Ability to lift and carry dogs and equipment

· Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for 8 hours
