Role Description The Experienced Dog Groomer is a full-time, on-site role based at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Rochester Hills, MI. This role involves performing high-quality grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling dogs of various breeds and coat types. The groomer will interact closely with pet parents to understand grooming preferences, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe grooming environment, monitoring pet comfort and safety, and following company standards and hygiene protocols. The groomer will also support the retail environment by answering basic product questions and contributing to a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Strong Pet Grooming skills, including Clipping, bathing, brushing, and breed-specific styling.
- Experience in general Pet Care, including safe handling, monitoring pet behavior, and basic coat and skin care.
- Demonstrated Customer Service abilities, with a focus on building trust and rapport with pet parents.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for discussing grooming plans, managing expectations, and providing after-care guidance.
- Previous professional dog grooming experience in a salon or similar setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or handle dogs of various sizes.
- Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and adherence to grooming and sanitation standards.
- Certification from a recognized grooming program or equivalent experience is preferred.
