One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn & Resort, is a Tennis Court Attendant to join the team at the Woodstock Athletic Club.
The Woodstock Athletic Club at Woodstock Inn & Resort is the area’s premier facility for health and recreation. The club offers lessons from USPTA-certified instructors, court rentals, swimming, cardio and weight equipment, movement and cycling studios, outdoor trails, fitness and yoga classes, and an indoor pool 一 all under its 42,000-square-foot roof.
Job Summary:
Working directly with the Director of Tennis, the Court Attendant is responsible for outdoor tennis court maintenance, including but not limited to sweeping, lining, weeding, refilling courtside water and towel, and maintenance to tennis teaching equipment.
Job Specifications:
- Expected Pay Range: Starting $15.00 per hour
- The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Part-time seasonal, 16-20 hours per week. Position starts in May.
- Work shift could be early mornings, nights, weekends or holidays
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist our Tennis Pro with day camp, feeding balls, helping pick up, and following pros instructions.
- Keep the hard surface tennis courts free of dirt & debris.
- Clay courts are swept after every game.
- Clay courts are racked, lined, and watered every day.
- Courts will be kept free of all weeds.
- Water cups & sport towels supplied throughout the day.
- Trash is removed every day.
- Court furniture is wiped clean and dried every day.
- Court water & ice changed every day.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of tennis.
- Junior tennis instruction experience a plus.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to drive a golf cart, must possess a valid drivers' license and cleaning driving record.
- Ability to operate the court roller.
- Ability to bend and reach, sometimes overhead as applicable to task.
- Ability to stand on feet for more than 8 hours.
