Job Summary:
Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dish station, three compartment sink, and staff cafeteria.
Job Specifications:
- Expected Pay Range: starting $19.00 per hour
- The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full-time year-round or full-time seasonal positions available
- Weekends and holidays
Job Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Daily cleaning of the kitchen which includes sweeping and moping all the floors, stoves, hood vents, griddles, grills, and closing down the dish area.
- Properly organize and store clean dishes, equipment, and utensils in their designated areas.
- Empty, clean, and sanitize trash and recycling receptacles as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Three months of experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
