The Woodson & Bozeman Territory Manager is responsible for daily sales activities for the achievement of targeted sales, margin, market share, mix and customer satisfaction within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and execute a territory plan to achieve sales and profit goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Integrate company strategies for long term success.
- Establish and execute implementation plans for key objectives that include mix, growth, new dealer development, and adding high value to our customer network.
- Travel efficiently in assigned territory to deliver sales targets and market development responsibilities.
- Coordinate with division staff and vendors on related business issues to resolve issues, enhance customer satisfaction and optimize division resources.
- Identify and grow key industry relationships within territories. Relationships include builders, retailers, trade schools, HVAC related businesses and associations.
- Provide timely and accurate reports required for proper territory management.
- Participate in division training and events as needed.
- Provide market intelligence, trends, and pertinent information to the Sales Manager.
- Resolve conflicts quickly, fairly in a professional and win/win manner.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years successful sales experience with demonstrated leadership serving a contractor network.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to deliver engaging, informative, and well-organized ideas and processes to both staff and our customers.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical skills to determine S.W.O.T. (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) across territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of HVAC distribution and dealer business practices.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, applications, and installation practices.
Skills:
- Constructively understand and manage client’s needs to foster business alignment.
- Proven ability to deal with customers and to negotiate appropriate outcomes.
- Proven ability to organize workload effectively and to determine priorities.
- High level analytical and administrative skills including report writing and formulation of business reports.
- Proven technical ability and desire to effectively market directly to each unique segment including, commercial, residential, replacement, new construction, and ductless markets.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented. Ability to manage and resolve territory issues with TM resources provided fairly and ethically.
Requirements:
- Job is full time with daily and occasional overnight travel.
