Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate FULL-TIME Associate Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of toddlers by creating engaging, safe, and nurturing classroom experiences. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning while ensuring each child's individual needs are met with care and professionalism.
Duties
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for toddlers
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and proper behavior management within the classroom
- Support children’s daily routines, including diapering, feeding, napping, and outdoor play
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws
- Collaborate with team members to plan activities that foster inclusive participation and developmental growth
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in a daycare center or preschool setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teaching toddlers
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children in a professional manner
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes positive behavior management
