Woodside Equine Clinic is a busy referral and general practice located just outside of Richmond, VA. With a team of nine veterinarians, we’re proud to provide exceptional equine care to both our local community and referral patients from across the region.
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team. This position is essential in ensuring the comfort and safety of our hospitalized patients during the quiet hours, when attentive monitoring and compassionate care matter most.
Schedule: Sunday–Monday, 1 AM – 9 AM
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and providing treatments to hospitalized patients as directed
- Administering medications and fluids
- Assisting with procedures and new patient exams
- Processing lab work and maintaining accurate patient records
- Collaborating closely with doctors and fellow technicians to ensure high-quality care
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
- Horse handling experience and general equine knowledge required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
