Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Provide attentive toddler care and classroom management to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children of preschool age.
- Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention strategies to promote inclusive learning experiences.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, behavior management, and classroom engagement.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities to foster strong home-school connections.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid and CPR certification.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, organize classroom materials, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential; preschool or classroom experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and childhood welfare standards.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom dynamics as a floater or substitute teacher.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is a plus.
- Experience teaching physical education or working with standardized testing processes is advantageous.
