Transportation Attendants (Floater), 5 days per week Monday - Friday, Working Hours (6:30am-8:30am & 2:30pm-4:30pm)
Starting hourly rate 2025-2026 school year: $17.90
JOB GOAL: To attend to the physical needs and monitor the behavior of students while they are
being transported on a school conveyance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current CPR Certificate
- Basic knowledge of first aid
- Ability to work with disabled children
- Good physical condition
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Be able to remove any student from the bus in an emergency situation.
- Become knowledgeable about particular handicaps and emergency treatment for them.
- Assist bus driver in routine and emergency situations, including the use of the two way radio.
- Remain alert and ready to assist student(s) and address his/her needs/behavior.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ride bus route daily and work in close cooperation with the driver assigned to that route.
- Attend training sessions, safety meetings, and staff meetings as required by transportation supervisor.
- Sit and talk with student(s).
- Review bus rules with student(s).
- Monitor behavior and report in writing any behavior infractions.
- Honor confidentiality – discuss student’s behavior only with bus driver and transportation supervisor.
- Report in writing to the transportation supervisor any irregular or unusual behavior that might endanger the student.
- Exhibit a caring, professional attitude with parents, students, and staff.
- Perform other such related duties as may be assigned from time to time by transportation supervisor.
