This is a (4) hour position at Woodridge High School. Hours are 8:30a.m.-12:30p.m., 190 day contract, $17.29 per hour. No Benefits. Reports to Lunchroom Manager, Supervisor of Cafeterias, and Principal.
JOB GOAL: To provide a nutritionally well-balanced affordable meal to each and every student in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and courtesy to further maximize the positive impact of the educational process.

The individual in this assignment must discharge all delegated responsibilities in a manner, which is consistently in accord with the policies adopted by the Board of Education. Work related to the performance responsibilities listed below may be assigned by his/her supervisor(s) and the appointing authority or its designee. It shall include, but not be limited to those tasks listed below.

The Board of Education and administration will provide a safe and healthful work environment pursuant to applicable state and federal regulations. The individual in this assignment is expected to follow all safety rules and is to report any concerns with regard to his/her working conditions to his/her immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma.
- Good health, high moral character, good attendance record.
- Must be neat and clean.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in preparation of school lunches and working knowledge of Federal School Lunch Program.
- Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community.
- Must have working knowledge of cafeteria equipment, quantity cooking and basic health and sanitation requirements.
- Must demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with adults and students and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other employees and staff members.
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must have the ability to perform basic math skills accurately.
- Must be willing to be open-minded to new ideas and changes pertaining to cafeteria food services.
- Must be able to lift at least 35# of weight such as cases and pans of food.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:
- Operate on a flexible schedule developed cooperatively with the assistance of the Lunchroom Manager, Principal, Superintendent, and the Lunchroom Supervisor.
- Help prepare and serve food for the planned menus.
- Assist lunchroom cooks by carrying or delivering food to serving areas.
- Wash dishes, silverware, other utensils, and trays.
- Help make and keep the kitchen and cafeteria attractive at all times.
- Aid in the daily cleaning of the kitchen and cafeteria.
- Maintain a cheerful and pleasant manner at all times.
- Meet all physical and/or health requirements of the Summit County Health Department and the Board of Education.
- Perform such other duties as may properly be considered in the scope of said position or as may be requested by appropriate personnel.
