Payroll and Accounting Specialist

This role is based out of our Holden, MA headquarters and is 5 days a week on site.

We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this energetic role, you will manage the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with financial standards. Your expertise in accounting systems and financial concepts will drive efficiency and accuracy across our financial operations.

Responsibilities include buy are not limited to:

• Serve as main point of contact for UKG payroll processing
• Troubleshoot all payroll related questions for inhouse and field team
• Collect, review, and code vendor invoices for input into our accounts payable system.
• Preparation and processing of accounts payable invoices and payments to ensure that payments are timely and accurate.
• Maintain vendor system files to ensure current, up-to-date, accurate information.
• Ensure that sub-contractor’s insurance certificates & W-9’s are on file and current.
• Ensure that electronic filing of paid invoices and supporting documentation is up to date.
• Assist with the resolution of vendor disputes.
• Help insure that all closing activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school plus additional specialized accounting courses.
• 3-5 years experience in accounts payable and general ledger practices.
• Payroll processing experience required
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Extremely accurate, attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
