Position Overview
The Capital Markets Associate will play a key role in executing equity and debt placements across multiple asset classes. The role blends institutional-grade underwriting and process management with relationship-building and investor engagement in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and structure transactions, including detailed financial modeling, sensitivity analyses, and return scenarios.
- Prepare professional offering materials and manage data rooms, diligence items, and transaction timelines.
- Coordinate communication between sponsors, lenders, investors, and legal teams throughout the capital raise and closing process.
- Conduct market research and maintain active relationships with capital sources to support deal execution and business development.
- Support senior leadership with pipeline tracking, investor presentations, and process optimization.
Qualifications
- Active Series 7, 63, 79 (or be able to complete in the short-term)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate capital markets, investment sales, or debt/equity placement.
- Proven background across a variety of asset classes.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel for sponsor and investor meetings as required.
- Based remotely or in Charleston, SC.
