Position: Part-Time Baker – Food Service Assistant

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as standardized recipes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Demonstrate ability to operate food service equipment and Point of Sale (Cash Register).
- Ability to prepare food in a safe and sanitary manner and serve modified diets as ordered.
- Ability to cross train with Food Service Assistant and Food Service Hospitality Associate, strongly preferred.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Restock cafeteria refrigerator and salad bar for the next day.
- Prepare special items as requested.
- Prepare salads/desserts for cafeteria/patients according to production sheets.
- Assist serving in cafeteria as needed.
- Take out trash and recycle items according to policy.
- Clean equipment and wash dishes as assigned.
- Monitors and accurately documents food/equipment temperatures per policy
- Operates Point of Sale (Cash Register) as needed.
- Completes weekly inventory as outlined
- Assist with putting deliveries away as needed.
