Description: Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Instill skills that will lead to the formulation of pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
Qualifications

Must be able to work harmoniously with the community, students, parents, staff, and administration, etc. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff. Must exhibit sound judgment in dealing with people. Must have strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to lead and support paraprofessional staff in the classroom and collaborate with all related service providers.

SALARY RANGE: Stipend Position - Starting Stipend Pay $2405.29 per season

Qualifications
- License/Certification: Assistant Head wrestling coach must be a teacher licensed in Illinois or a staff member of Middle School
- Education: Required - High School Diploma
- Experience: Required - Must have prior wrestling and coaching experience, Red Cross First Aid Certification, CPR/AED certification and USA Wrestling National Coaches Education Program certification approved.
- Submits "Application for Extra Duty Position" for Administrative Review
- Obtains administrative approval to fill the position
- Meets with the administration and reviews Performance Responsibilities for the position
- Signs "Performance Responsibilities Acknowledgment" for the position
- Acts as a liaison between the administration and the organization
- Possesses knowledge of the Athletic Program approved by Woodland School and is responsible for the implementation of the program
- Possesses a knowledge of existing school, conference and state regulations and implements consistency in interpreting such
- Assists the Head Coach in conducting tryouts yearly to select a team
- Assists the Head Coach establish meetings and activities for the organization
- Attends all meetings and sponsored activities
- Maintains positive relations with parents and fans
- Assists the Head Coach in providing team members and parents with practice and game schedules, directions for away games, eligibility requirements

- Assists the Head Coach in gaining administrative approval for any fundraisers and collecting and depositing any money as stipulated by the administration, Building and District Policy and Procedures
- Assists the Head Coach in exercising careful supervision over all student operated projects, student personnel, clean up and money collection for which the organization is responsible
- Assists the Head Coach in the distribution and collection of uniforms and cost of any equipment lost or not returned
- Assists the Head Coach in submitting, at the end of the season, an inventory of equipment and uniforms to the Athletic Director
