Engineering Lead / Supervisor — West Haven, CT (On-Site)
Woodland Power Products is looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to own our engineering function. We make outdoor power equipment — including the Cyclone Rake lawn and leaf vacuum systems — and we need someone who can take products from concept to production with speed and discipline.
This isn't a sit-in-meetings role. You'll be designing in CAD (OnShape), building prototypes, managing supplier and contractor relationships, and mentoring a junior engineer. You own all testing — from developing test procedures and fixtures in the shop to getting your boots dirty running field tests on outdoor power equipment in real-world conditions. You ARE the engineering department.

What we're looking for:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5 years in mechanical product design and development
- Experience with parametric CAD (OnShape, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Comfortable managing suppliers, contractors, and timelines
- Working knowledge of AI tools in an engineering workflow
- Bonus: outdoor power equipment or consumer durable goods experience
