Position Summary
The Nail Technician will offer manicures, pedicures, and other nail services in our on-site salon while creating a welcoming, relaxing, and enjoyable experience for residents. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with older adults and is committed to providing exceptional service in a caring community environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*CF indicates Critical Function)
- Provide professional nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, nail shaping and filing, cuticle care, nail polishing and polish changes, and other approved nail services within scope of licensure (*CF)
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized salon environment in compliance with state and local regulations (*CF)
- Assess residents' nail care needs and provide services appropriate to their health status and mobility limitations (*CF)
- Build positive relationships with residents and contribute to their overall wellness and quality of life
- Maintain professional standards of hygiene and infection control (*CF)
- Set up and clean workstations before and after each appointment (*CF)
- Manage appointment schedules and communicate effectively with residents and community staff (*CF).
- Monitor and maintain salon supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Adhere to all community policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Provide outstanding customer service while demonstrating patience, kindness, and respect.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Current NYS Nail Technician/Cosmetology license in good standing
- Previous experience providing manicures, pedicures, and nail care services
- Experience working with older adults, seniors, or in healthcare/senior living settings
- Knowledge of sanitation, infection control, and industry safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
