The Dining Host fosters an enjoyable, casual dining experience while providing quality customer service and addressing dining-related concerns or matters requiring attention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*CF indicates Critical Function)
- Ensures residents, staff, visitors, and guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service
- Coordinates the reservation system to maintain proper timing of reservations (*CF)
- Contacts residents, as needed, to review menu options. Receives food orders for to-go and takeout meals and coordinates all delivery and pick-up (*CF)
- Makes sure that the dining room is free of potential hazards to residents, including stowing all walkers and other ambulatory devices in the proper location (*CF)
- Rounds the Dining Room to assist the wait staff while promoting a pleasurable experience for all guests
- Assists the Wait Staff, when necessary, with taking food orders, waiting on tables, and lending a hand where needed to enhance the dining experience
- Follows all emergency procedures and proper evacuation of the Dining Room
- Maintains proper hygiene while serving, to include wearing gloves and washing hands when needed
- Must be able to work evening shifts, to include a day on the weekend, as standard schedule
- Completes all required training and in-services
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school graduate or HSE preferred
- Prior experience preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Able to write legibly, takes oral and written instructions well
- Has demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the elderly or geriatric population
