Job Summary
The substitute clerk is an entry-level clerical position, yet may require knowledge of the terminology, practices and procedures of an area of specialization depending on assignment. Work is focused in these areas: skilled typing and data entry, receptionist, records maintenance, filing and retrieval of information and reports. Advancement potential exists along both the Administrative Clerk and Administrative Secretary career ladders, and will require additional specialized education and experience consistent with the requirements of individual positions. Minimum requirements will include additional general computer, record keeping, math, English, grammar, spelling and office equipment skills. Bilingual-Spanish preferred.
