What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Starter Marshal position at Woodland Hills Golf Club?
Woodland Hills Golf Club at Carter Grove is a semi-private, 18-hole golf club, located five minutes south of Cartersville, GA. The club offers affordable membership plans, as well as daily fee play. We are located only five miles west of the new LakePoint Sports Complex off I-75.
We are seeking friendly and professional Golf Course Starter/Marshals to ensure smooth course operations, enforce golf etiquette, and enhance the overall enjoyment of our golfers.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pace of play and ensure golfers adhere to course rules.
- Assist in resolving on-course issues in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering golfer inquiries and offering assistance.
- Ensure players repair divots, fix ball marks, and maintain proper golf etiquette.
- Coordinate with the pro shop and maintenance staff regarding course conditions and player concerns.
- Enforce cart rules and assist with minor cart-related issues.
- Maintain a visible presence on the course to enhance the golfer’s experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and pace of play standards.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience as a golf course marshal or similar role is a plus.
