We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Assistant to join our team temporarily. As a Facilities Assistant, under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including managing maintenance schedules, overseeing building repairs, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and assisting with program transportation.

This temporary position starts as soon as possible through October 2025, with the hours of Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Ideal Candidate Will
The salary range is $22 - $30 per hour, dependent on education, training, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, supplementary insurance, paid time off, 403b retirement plan, professional development allowance.

Ideal Candidate Will
- Be able to work independently on daily maintenance of school buildings and properties.
- Be able to respond effectively to urgent facility related issues drawing on past experience.
- Be able to prioritize and respond to help desk tickets.
- Interact with program staff and students appropriately exhibiting grace and courtesy.
- Coordinate with cleaning staff to ensure proper upkeep and cleanliness of facilities.
- Manage and maintain inventory of facility related supplies and equipment.
- Act as point of contact for all building-related issues and inquiries
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for building and appliance repairs and maintenance
- Perform periodic inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferable.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Two or more years of building maintenance experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
