Summary
The National Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic customer accounts at a national level, maximizing opportunities for the entire Woodgrain Enterprise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing large, complex accounts with a significant regional or national footprint as assigned.
- Manage the Woodgrain Sales Process on behalf of all Woodgrain Divisions with assigned accounts: Focus > Prepare > Explore > Educate > Agree > Satisfy
- Networking within assigned accounts to secure business opportunities.
- Meeting with corporate offices of assigned accounts to perform quarterly business reviews.
- Meeting with regional and local leadership of assigned accounts frequently to build layered relationships.
- Traveling with Outside Sales Reps weekly to help accelerate sales process with targeted locations of the assigned accounts; and assisting with development of those reps.
- Working with internal business functions to ensure “satisfy” phase of sales process is executed to the expectation of assigned accounts.
- Investigating and resolving inquiries and issues raised by assigned accounts.
- Taking a proactive approach to account management.
- Holding monthly meetings with internal stakeholders regarding assigned accounts.
- Requires ~ 70% travel.

- Expanding relationships through multiple layers of these organizations will be critical.
- Success will be measured by:
- Year over year growth of assigned accounts
- Year over year profitability/health of assigned accounts
- Participation of multiple divisions of Woodgrain
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require supervision of employees at this point. It does require a great deal of cross functional collaboration. It also requires coaching and guiding Outside Sales Representatives as a peer to the sales management team.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business related field with five to seven years of sales experience in a sales role. Experience managing large, complex accounts is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual would be helpful.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
