Staff Accountant

Woodford Oil Company is now accepting applications for a full time Staff Accountant.

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting and compliance. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a passion for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

• Support accounts payable and receivable functions

• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• 2 years of accounting experience preferred (petroleum or energy industry experience a plus)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MacOS and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
