Under the supervision of the School of the Arts (SOA) Assistant Dean, this position collaborates with department chairs to develop and implement recruitment plans targeting qualified high school and community college students for various SOA programs. Additionally, they will participate in recruiting events organized by the university, SOA, or individual departments, which may require working variable hours (evenings and weekends). Summary Of Responsibilities
- Actively reach out and develop relationships with prospective students, community groups, local businesses, high schools, studios, and other external parties to promote various events presented by the School of the Arts, the Noorda Center for Performing Arts, including engagement opportunities and ticket sales
- Actively reach out and develop relationships with prospective students, community groups, local businesses, high schools, studios, and other external parties to promote various events presented by the School of the Arts and the UVU Museum of Art at Lakemount
- Assist with new students, community, and patrons' exploration
- Actively update the database to verify information is up to date
- Assist with market research to stay abreast with state-of-the-art technology, marketing principles, and trends pertaining to student recruiting in higher education
- Use analytics to evaluate effectiveness and put forward appropriate adjustments in recruiting activities
- Represent the School of the Arts at various events that include but are not limited to on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, information fairs, performances, conventions, and exhibitions

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge of higher education recruitment projects and processes.
- Knowledge of degree programs, applications, audition requirements, and special opportunities for students.
- Adept at business communication and able to talk passionately and accurately about what the SOA is doing.
- Professional presentation and communication skills.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain relationships with prospective students, prospective families, counselors, and audience members of SOA.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work individually as well as on a team.
- Ability to have a calm and cool demeanor under pressure.
