Summary Of Responsibilities
- Operate the gift shop kiosk and perform cashier duties, like processing credit cards, at regularly assigned shifts.
- Organize and manage gallery merchandise, stocking, and maintaining product displays.
- Welcome and share information about the artwork and educational resources with patrons.
- Setting up and/or moving the kiosk during gallery events as needed.
- Assist other gallery staff in monitoring the gallery and serve as a trained substitute for the gallery docents when needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must be a current UVU student and have been awarded Federal Work-Study for 2025-2026 and 206-2027 through UVU Financial Aid.
- Have the availability to work at least 15-20 hours per week on weekdays
- Can track, balance, and reconcile transactions effectively
- Experience applying effective customer service techniques
- Can use basic word processing and digital communication tools proficiently
- Experience supporting gallery conversations and visitor questions with broad subject knowledge
- Able to demonstrate strong organizational and time-management capabilities
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, including in person and through email or messaging
- Experience working effectively with the public
- Able to deliver engaging public presentations and speak confidently to groups
