- Must be a current UVU student.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of scenic elements are helpful, but not required.
- Arithmetic, algebra, and geometry required for the execution of plans and drawings.
- Basic shop safety rules and procedures.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a specific task.
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Quickly move and coordinate fingers, limbs, and body to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Apply general rules to specific problems and produce answers that make sense.
- Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)
