Summary Of Responsibilities
- Secures and schedules equipment, manpower, supplies, and tools associated with classes, organization operations, events, and activities.
- Acquires supplies to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operations of the Logistics division. Reports any damage, defects, failures, or safety hazards to the supervisor, and takes appropriate action as advised.
- Prepares and delivers supplies with appropriate approvals, props, equipment, and tools as necessary for training classes, academic classes, standard operations, and organization events.
- Enters and updates data associated with inventory control, scheduling, and maintenance of equipment.
- Acquires and/or maintains certifications required to perform various duties, including but not limited to forklift operations, proper repair of turnout gear, maintenance of SCBAs, etc.
- Assists with training ground maintenance with respect to snow removal, general repairs, installations, and refurbishments.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
- Graduated with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Three years of experience related to the summary of duties.
- Class A CDL License.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of mechanical operations, standard repair procedures and techniques, and hydraulic systems.
- Skill with managing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.
- Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to be able to perform the job.
- Skills in maintenance and repair of large mobile equipment such as semi-trucks, loaders, and firefighting equipment.
- Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Skill in written and oral communication.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, non-verbally, and in writing.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and files.
- Ability to operate wire, arc, and oxyacetylene welders and associated tools and materials used in fabrication
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to acquire and maintain certifications requiring the various duties, including but not limited to CDL, forklift operations, proper repair of turnout gear, maintenance of SCBAs, etc.
