Summary Of Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation for all ERT members
- Certifications/Licensure for EMT/Paramedic
- BLS cards on all team members
- ERT Application
- HIPAA forms
- Review applications for new volunteer team members/hire
- Coordinate Event Coverage:
- UCCU Events
- Other on-campus events
- Ensure accurate invoicing is occurring for campus events/UCCU events. If there are payment issues, involve the Director of Emergency Management/Safety.
- Maintain Equipment:
- Jump bags for ERT Campus Response
- Jump bags for Event Coverage
- Restocking bags
- Ranger vehicle maintenance (gas, oil changes, other issues)
- Provide weekly training for ERT
- Coordinate with the training officer for monthly training
- SOP review and update
- Must be a current UVU student
- Hours, for the most part, will be during the day, Monday-Friday. There may be times for training or filling in during events when nighttime hours are necessary. Of the 20 hours per week, 5 hours should be to cover 1 shift per week.
- Education/Certifications: EMT Basic or higher (EMT advanced, Paramedic, etc.), must show licensure for EMT/Paramedic. BLS Certified, Instructor Preferred
- Knowledge of and skill in applying basic on-site emergency medical protocol and procedures.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Ability to perform standardized emergency patient care activities within the established protocol.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Ability to interact well with people.
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds.
- Have computer skills and be able to use relevant software such as Microsoft Word and others.
