Example A Day in The Life
- Participate in a meeting where you and your team members meet with stakeholders to design an AI event. This time (as it usually is), you don’t need to do all the work to plan the event, but you ask strategic questions to tighten the scope and value proposition of the event for a target audience, identify key information, and begin to design a strategic communications campaign.
- You go one-on-one with your laptop (and AI) to describe the event in precise detail, who will most benefit, who to contact and share the event with, how to collaborate with the press, and what cadence of communications would be best to maximize attendance, engagement, and outcomes.
- You have a 30-minute meeting with UVU Marcomm and integrate their advice and resources into your plan.
- Check in personally (face to face and otherwise) with 5 people about rapid upcoming events, modifying the descriptions as needed.
- You post the information on the AI website, test the AI agent to ensure it retrieves the event properly, and test the AI agent’s performance with 3 students.
- You also post a description and link to new course that LinkedIn Learning just released about how parents can help their children use AI responsibly on smart phones.
- Update the published “accomplishments” list with an event that showed yesterday, adding in links to media coverage.
- You celebrate another full day of growth.
- Collaborate with UVU Marcomm
- Create and manage event comms strategy and execution
- Create event descriptions that get people to the events, and using the resources
- Share and distribute important AI resources to faculty, students, staff and community members (prospective students, donors, other universities, university leaders
- Measure and report the usage of resources and the attendance, engagement, and outcomes of events.
- Always ask: How can I improve the quality and quantity of results?
- Other diverse tasks and projects as assigned.
- Must be a currently enrolled UVU student.
- Successful history of comms campaigns indicating professional level expertise.
- Change Management: Ability to get a large number of people to use a resource or engage at an event.
- Ability to manage communications campaigns, work independently, and tie up loose ends autonomously and in collaboration with teammates.
- You already use AI for a variety of daily tasks to generate a high volume of quality work.
- You have an eagerness to learn new mindsets and skills, you are often “self-taught.”
- You’re a top achiever, driven to create successful outcomes in difficult circumstances.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to observe other's energy, mood, interest, etc.
