Summary Of Responsibilities
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in an area of expertise commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position; OR, a related combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Summary Of Responsibilities
- Orders, procures, and prepares supplies, materials, and solutions for laboratory courses.
- Organizes and maintains facilities and equipment for laboratory courses, including chemicals and Material Data Safety Sheets.
- Trains and supervises laboratory personnel.
- Identifies, selects, and makes hiring recommendations for student assistants.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in an area of expertise commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position; OR, a related combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of laboratory methods in microbiology. Knowledge of the maintenance of lab equipment.
- Knowledge of safe handling and storage of lab materials, supplies, and cultures.
- Knowledge of OSHA laboratory standards and the ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or hazard control standards.
- Skill in selecting, training, and supervising co-workers and assistants.
- Ability to effectively juggle multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of co-workers with varying levels of training.
- Ability to interact productively with students.
