Position Title: Part-Time Middle School English and Social Studies Teacher
Reports To: Principal/Director
Position Summary
The Part-Time Middle School English and Social Studies Teacher is responsible for providing engaging instruction to students in grades 5–8 while fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, strong character, and Islamic values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based lessons in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
- Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate grades and records.
- Integrate Islamic values, character education, and appropriate Islamic perspectives into instruction.
- Maintain weekly lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Communicate regularly with parents and administration regarding student progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in required meetings and professional development.
- Supervise students during assigned duties and uphold all school policies and expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, History, Social Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Previous teaching experience with middle school students preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and Islamic values of the school.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position with hours and teaching assignments determined by school administration.
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
