Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources Department. Under direct supervision, the HR Assistant provides support on a variety of tasks, often managing multiple priorities simultaneously. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy. As a key member of the HR team, the HR Assistant is expected to be flexible and ready to contribute wherever needed to support overall team success.
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' Human Resources Assistant
While there is no typical day in HR (which is part of the excitement of working in HR), there are a few things that you can count on:
- Support the daily operations of the Human Resources team by providing administrative and clerical assistance.
- Organize and coordinate HR projects including meetings, training, and employee surveys.
- Support recruitment efforts by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and maintaining the applicant tracking system.
Qualifications & Skills
- 0–2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong sense of discretion and ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with solid typing and computer skills.
- Basic understanding of employment and labor laws.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
- Experience with HR software systems such as HRIS/HRMS and applicant tracking systems (ATS); familiarity with resume databases is a plus.
The range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
