Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Bartenders to join our team at our Wood-n-Tap Groton location. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
- Take guest orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Occassionally serve tables in lounge area
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and alcohol service regulations
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Monitor guest behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring drinks, and garnishing beverages
- Proficient in retail math calculations for accurate pricing and cash handling
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems for order processing and payment transactions
- Previous bartending experience in the food industry in a full-service restaurant
- Knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and spirits, as well as brewing processes
- Excellent cash handling skills and ability to operate a cash register accurately
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with health codes
- Strong math skills for measuring ingredients, calculating tabs, and making change accurately
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive experience for guests
