Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained to meet safety and health standards. This role is crucial in supporting patient care by preventing infections and ensuring a safe environment in our facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization of medical instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including tracking the use of equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand specific sterilization needs for various procedures.
- Preparing supplies and instruments for the use in surgical procedures.
- Preparing surgical trays for each surgical procedures.
- Assists surgical assistants in preparation for procedures.
- Participates in opening/closing, stocking and cleaning rooms; biohazard trash management.
- Assist in the training of new staff on sterilization protocols and procedures.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization and infection control through ongoing education.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology, particularly in relation to sterilization processes.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, especially in surgical procedures and implant dentistry.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application in clinical environments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
