Essential Functions
- Provide direct patient care by performing activities of daily living, vital signs, point of care testing, skin care and assist with cardiac monitoring under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Document and communicate effectively by accurately recording care and observations in the clinical system and relaying patient information to the healthcare team in a timely manner.
- Performs clerical/secretarial functions (e.g. answering the phone, arranging external transport, patient record preparation/assembly, filing, entering charges, contacting physicians, maintaining logs, scheduling tests and requests for services from other departments).
- Train and support new staff, demonstrating professionalism, and adapting to changing unit needs.
- Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
- Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
