Role Description
Training to take place the remainder of the school year calendar. Full time placement in August 2026. This is a contract position for a Prevention Specialist located on-site in Bowling Green, OH. The Prevention Specialist will work closely with schools teaching prevention lessons, interacting with educators and community members that promotes healthy and safe wellbeing. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering educational sessions, training staff, and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention initiatives. The role requires collaboration with educators, students, and community stakeholders to foster a positive impact on student behavior, overall wellness, and safety.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and community members
- Analytical Skills to assess program effectiveness and develop tailored prevention strategies
- Knowledge of Prevention strategies and programs focused on student wellness and behavioral health
- Familiarity with Security protocols to ensure the protection and well-being of students and staff
- Ability to work on-site and travel locally as required for program delivery and school engagement
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, public health, or a related field preferreD
