Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an MD/ID Intervention Specialist located in Northwood, OH. The MD/ID Intervention Specialist will be responsible for providing direct instructional support, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), conducting assessments, and utilizing evidence-based practices to support students with multiple disabilities (MD) and intellectual disabilities (ID). Additional tasks include collaborating with teachers, parents, and other service providers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting assessments
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices for students with multiple disabilities (MD) and intellectual disabilities (ID)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Certification in Special Education is preferred
- Experience in an educational or clinical setting is a plus
