Estimator of Commercial/Residential/Architectural Millwork

Job Description:
Responsible for preparing accurate estimates for custom cabinetry and millwork projects. This role involves analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material, labor, and production costs, ensuring bids are precise and profitable.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and bid documents to perform detailed take-offs for materials, hardware, finishes, and components.
Create comprehensive cost estimates, including materials (wood, laminate, hardware, etc.), labor, fabrication, installation, and overhead.
Solicit and negotiate pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain the best possible rates.
Prepare and submit detailed bids, proposals, and quotes in a timely manner.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, production teams, architects, and clients to clarify project scopes, resolve discrepancies, and provide value engineering alternatives.
Maintain an up-to-date database of pricing, vendor information, and historical project data for reference.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs as needed to assess project conditions.
Assist in post-bid follow-up, including bid analysis and contract negotiations.
Stay current on market trends, material costs, and industry standards.
Eligibility Requirements:
3 years of experience in estimating for cabinetry, millwork, architectural woodwork, or a related construction field Commercial Experience Required.
Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Strong knowledge of cabinetry and millwork materials, fabrication processes, hardware, and finishes.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Must be a USA citizen or Permanent resident of the USA.
Job Salary:
$70K to $80K (pending experience)
